Our sustainability approach

Durability as a key to sustainability

Our brand has been shaped by sustainability since it was founded. We operate and develop with consideration for the environment, assume responsibility for the financial health of our company and pay attention to the needs of our employees. Through our commitment, we promote a sustainable future and contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Innovation

Innovation and development are deeply rooted in our company DNA. We are constantly working on new technologies that can actively help save energy. We do not rest on our laurels, instead setting ourselves the goal of making our products even better, more efficient and attractive.

Design

Design plays a key role at JURA. We aspire to give our automatic coffee machines a clear design language independent of current trends. A design with the aura of German-speaking Europe lends our products the feel of interior design objects that are appreciated for many years and outlast short-lived trends.

Quality

Quality is our priority at JURA. We extend the product’s service life through the use of high-quality materials, precision in manufacturing and meticulous craftsmanship. To ensure that all products meet our stringent quality requirements, we subject series machines to random quality and endurance testing on a regular basis.

Serviceability

JURA has always defended the maxim “repair instead of discard”. The possibility to perform service works extends the service life of products. Our automatic coffee machines are designed such that, over many years in service, they can be disassembled and the worn out or faulty parts replaced so that the machine can be started up again as good as new.

Reconditioning

As early as the product development stage, we attach great importance to designing components that are easy to service so that, in the event of wear, the affected parts can be replaced and intact ones reused. We have followed this philosophy from the very outset with consistent component reconditioning.

Recycling

Every JURA automatic coffee machine has a recycling pass listing the materials used in detail. At the end of their life cycle, the machines can be professionally disassembled. Thanks to recycling, the sorted materials return to the circuit as new raw materials.

Historical growth

Even way back in the 1930s, JURA was shaped by sustainability. It was essential to develop and produce maintainable products while protecting resources. Because raw materials were scarce. Products had to be durable. These points formed the cornerstone of the business and are now even more firmly rooted in everything we do.
